Where can I buy that Indian Henna substance for “Henna Tattoos“?

I got a Henna Tattoo yesterday from an art festival and I absolutely love it! I was wondering where I can buy the substance they use to draw. (It’s a greenish brownish color). I know it’s Indian but any specific stores?

The paste is made from powdered henna leaves and an acidic liquid (usually lemon juice, but I’ve seen people use cola too). A good place to buy the powder is mehndi.com (they have pictures of henna tattoos done using each type of powder with a description of how long it was left on so you can see how well it stains). They also sell premade paste. Another good dealer is the henna caravan at hennacaravan.com . Both of these are reliable sellers of natural henna so you dont have to work about harmful dyes being mixed in their powder or premade paste. Keep in mind that both the paste and powders have a limited shelf life. A good resource to learn about henna tattoos is the henna page at hennapage.com . You’ll find pretty much everything you need to know about henna there.
