Neck Tattoo
After getting a Tattoo on the back of your neck, is there any swelling after wards?
I plan on getting my second tattoo on the back of my neck. Does it swell at all after wards? How is the healing process? I read that I would need to keep my neck straight as much as possible during the healing process, Is that true? My first tattoo is on the top of my foot and that was swollen for about 2 days after I got it and it was very tender. Will that happen with the neck tattoo?
All Tattoos will swell. How bad, and for how long, will depend upon your own body and it’s reactions to getting Tattooed.
Don’t worry about trying to keep your neck straight or not. It won’t affect the healing at all to move. After you get it done, though, the skin will be very tight and it may be uncomfortable for you to move your neck at all or lean your head back. I would suggest getting it done as early in the day as possible. That way the swelling and the pain can subside after a few hours before you have to go to bed and possibly roll over on it.
